Don't Ask if You Don't Want to Know

4.28.06

To avoid distorting this situation, I'm just going to post a transcript of a conversation that occurred today in my Biology 101 lab.

Lab Partner 1: So, how was everybody's Easter?

[Silence]

Lab Partner 2: Mine was good, I went home.  How was yours [Lab Partner 1]?

Lab Partner 1: Well, as you know, I'm Jewish, so we don't celebrate Easter...but Passover was fine, thank you.

[Silence]

Lab Partner 1: How was your Easter, Beef?

Beef: [Louder than necessary] Well, as you know, I'm Christian, so I celebrated the miraculous resurrection of God's only Son, Who fulfilled the ancient prophecy beyond a shadow of a doubt, and then gave His life for our sins, so that anyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.  We had sausage and bacon for breakfast and ham for dinner. It was a heck of a holiday.

Lab Partner 1: [Completely lost, unconvincingly] Good.
